My Thailand Adventure - The Seed is Sown

So how did two friends end up on the other side of the world about to have one of the best experiences they've ever had?

I blame it on coffee and catch up time!

A bit of background first... Lynn and I have known each other for many, many years. We went to college together to study Interior and Spacial Construction in Kirkcaldy during which we discovered we had many things in common and quickly became good friends.

We regularly have catch ups at our local Costa (other establishments are available) We'd not had a catch up for a while and I had mentioned that one of my friends had been on holiday volunteering elephants with the Surin Project in Thailand and we joked about it would be amazing if we could do something like that... Move swiftly on a few months we'd met up again. Guess what came up in conversation? Yes, you've guessed Thailand and the elephants. So guess what we did? We shook on it! Lets go to Thailand! You can't go back on a handshake after all So guess what I had to do now? Speak to my wonderful, understanding husband!

Julian is really laid back and was incredibly supportive of me doing this despite the many digs he had about leaving him and Eva all alone for two and a bit weeks. He'd booked a holiday for the two of them to go to Rhodes to keep them occupied when I was away. Then this is when a spanner was chucked into the mix... He was selected to play for Great Britain for Flag football.

Back to me... So there was going to be a period of time where Juls would be in the Bahama and Miami at the same time as I was away in Thailand and not to mention the juggling of poor Eva - Don't worry we got it all sorted in end with lots of tears and tandrums :)
